Zenith

Founded in 1865 in Locle by a visionary watchmaker, Georges Favre-Jacot, Zenith quickly gained recognition for the precision of its chronometers which have won 2,333 chronometry awards to date. Zenith rose to fame as a result of the legendary calibre, El Primero, an integrated column-wheel automatic chronograph, launched in 1969, the high frequency of which – 36,000 vibrations per hour – guarantees precision in measuring short intervals to 1/10th of a second. The brand has since made more than 600 movement variations. All of its watches have a Zenith-manufactured movement and are developed and produced end-to-end by the Locle factory.
