Once again this year, we have enjoyed designing and installing our festive window display. It is now part of the street scenery and, as every winter, we hope it will bring a touch of warmth and magic to passers-by.
The first thing you notice are the large wine-red velvet bows, suspended as if weightless. We chose this deep color—between plum and garnet—for its warmth and character, which fit well with the Christmas atmosphere. The velvet catches the light and creates a soft, almost tactile ambiance.
Around these bows, garlands punctuated with small mother-of-pearl beads add a light sparkle and contrast with the matte texture of the velvet. The silver background discreetly reflects the light, giving the whole display a slightly dreamy feel.
Creating these decorations is as much part of our job as it is our pleasure: it's our way of sharing the holiday spirit and making people want to stop for a moment in front of the window, even when it's cold outside. For over a century, we have been continuing this winter tradition with those who pass by our store.
In a fast-paced world, this window display is a simple reminder for us that beauty often comes from patience, attention to detail, and the harmony of materials. It is a small interlude of calm and light in the middle of the season.
